Learn the difference between a private show and C2C on Chaturbate to make the right decision when a user requests one.
A model who has just started using Chaturbate may have difficulty using the platform’s features, such as private shows and C2C. Unfortunately, some malicious users take advantage of new models because they can see the “New” label in their room. These users enter with the intention of deceiving or scamming the model with one of the following excuses:
- Requesting a private message to send money through companies such as Western Union or PayPal (prohibited by Chaturbate).
- Asking for her phone number to help improve her room or fill it with users.
Asking for meetings.
Etc.
However, they also trick the model into thinking that a “private show” has been requested when the user has only sent a C2C invitation. How can you tell the difference between a private show and a C2C? I’ll explain that here. First, let’s briefly describe what a private show and a C2C are.
What is a “private show”?
- In this case, your performance will only be seen by one user. No one else in the audience can see what happens between the model and the user, unless they pay to spy on the show. A user can also request a “premium private show” from the model. This type of show is the same as a private show, but no one can spy on it.
- Of course, both private shows and spy shows cost money per minute, and the price is set by the model in her broadcast settings.
What is C2C?
- C2C, or “cam-to-cam,” occurs when a user asks the model to enable their camera.
- The model can view the user’s camera for free or for a certain number of tokens if she wants to meet the user. Payment is made via chat as a normal token transfer.
NOTE: Users can request a C2C during a public or private show.
What’s the difference between a private and a C2C show on Chaturbate?
Private show
When a user invites you to a private show, you will receive a notification in your chat like the one in the image below. You can then choose to either “Accept” or “Decline” the invitation.
The following audio clip demonstrates the characteristic sound that will play on the platform when someone invites you to a private show.
C2C
A notification will appear in the chat when a user starts sharing their webcam, with the message, “User X is sharing their camera.”
To view a user’s webcam, click on their username, then click “View Cam.”
A small window from your webcam will open on the user’s side, and they will also be notified when the model is viewing your camera.
